A friend from Germany taught me how to cook cabbage so delicious! Do you have cabbage at home?

Ingredients:

Cabbage – 1 whole

Canned tuna – 1 can

Rice – 1 cup

Onion – 1 whole

Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon (optional)

Soy sauce – 1 tablespoon (or your favorite condiments)

Rice vinegar – 1 tablespoon (you can use lemon juice)

Eggs – 4 whole

Flour – 2 tablespoons

Salt – to taste

Black pepper – to taste

Olive oil – for cooking

Instructions:

Cook the rice: Soak the rice in water for 1-2 hours. Drain the rice. In a saucepan, combine the rice, 400 ml of cold water, and salt.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the cabbage: While the rice is cooking, remove the outer leaves of the cabbage.

Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the cabbage. You can use a mandoline slicer for easier and more even slices.

Sauté the cabbage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until softened.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside in a large bowl.

Make the pancake batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, flour, and salt.

Assemble the pancake: Add the cooked cabbage, rice, canned tuna (drained), sesame oil, soy sauce, and rice vinegar to the large bowl. Mix well to combine.

Heat the skillet: Heat another tablespoon of olive oil in the skillet over medium heat.

Cook the pancakes: Pour about ¼ cup of the pancake batter into the skillet. Swirl the batter to spread it into a circle.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the pancake and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through. Repeat with the remaining batter.

You can serve the cabbage pancakes with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sour cream or yogurt.

Here are some tips for making cabbage pancakes:

If the cabbage batter seems too thin, you can add a little more flour.

If the pancakes are browning too quickly, reduce the heat to medium-low.

You can also bake the cabbage pancakes in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for about 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
