It can happen that some metal objects , such as kitchen utensils, begin to rust over time.
Their continuous use, exposure to humidity and poor care cause deterioration of the objects and reduce their useful life.
Luckily, it is not necessary to throw away metal objects when they start to rust, but there are some tricks that help us clean them and restore their original shine .
There are many reasons to look for solutions against rust that deteriorates metal objects.
The first is because the material is damaged and its useful life is reduced, and the second is that, when there is too much rust, it can compromise health.
Baking soda . Moisten a little baking soda with water and apply it to the rusty items.
Scrub with a toothbrush or sponge. Finally, rinse and dry well.
Apple Cider Vinegar . Soak the rusty object in apple cider vinegar overnight.
The next day, scrub with a toothbrush or scouring pad, then clean thoroughly. If any rust remains, repeat the entire process.
Lemon . It has a mild abrasive action that helps remove rust. Pour a little salt on the rusty area and rub with half a lemon. Repeat the treatment if necessary, until the rust is completely removed.
Raw potato . Contains oxalic acid, a very effective agent for removing mold and rust. Rub a potato directly on the rust. To enhance the effect, sprinkle a little baking soda before rubbing.
Tin Foil . Cut several pieces of tin foil, about an inch or two square, and soak them in water. Rub the foil over the rusted metal several times if necessary; the rust will come off quickly.
