For the winter I’m closing the amazingly delicious “Real General” salad for my husband.

The name of this salad is probably associated with the approval of a once influential person, because its taste is truly outstanding, and its appearance is seductive with its brightness and variety of colors.

Cooking instructions:
Preparing the cucumbers: Cut the cucumbers into round slices and place in a large container.

Cabbage: Chop thoroughly.

Tomatoes: Cut into half rings.

Carrots: First cut in half, then each half in half again and finely chop or use a Korean grater.

Bell pepper: Cut into thin half rings.

Onion: Cut into half rings.

Greens: Chop.

Adding spiciness: Cut the hot pepper into rings (you can omit this step).

Mixing: Mix all ingredients, add 2 tablespoons of salt, 100 grams of sugar, 150 ml of vegetable oil and 80 ml of vinegar 9%. Mix thoroughly and leave for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. During this time, the salad should release juice.

Decomposition into jars: Place the salad in sterilized jars, adding juice. Cover with sterile lids. Place a towel on the bottom of the pan for sterilization, place jars on top, and fill with water up to the shoulder level of the jars. Sterilize liter jars for 30 minutes, half-liter jars for 20 minutes.

Preparation for the winter: After sterilization, roll up the jars, turn them upside down and wrap them until they cool completely.

This salad will not only decorate the table, but will also add a bright mood to your lunch. Try it and see for yourself!
