Juicy meat in just 15 minutes, very easy

Pork in honey mustard sauce is a delicious and easy-to-prepare recipe, perfect for a special dinner.

Accompanied by vegetables stewed in tomato sauce, this dish becomes a balanced and tasty option.

Ingredients

For the pork in honey mustard sauce:
  • 50 g butter (lard)
  • 1 kg of pork neck
  • 2 onions
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 80 ml olive oil (2.8 fl oz)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • Juice of 1/3 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the vegetables stewed in tomato sauce:
  • Olive oil
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1/2 red pepper or bell pepper
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper or bell pepper
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 150 ml water (5.3 fluid ounces)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • A sprig of thyme
  • Broccoli florets
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Preparation

Step 1: Preparing the pork
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Cut the pork neck into four large pieces and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Brown the pieces of meat in the pan until they are golden brown on both sides.
  4. Cut the onions into slices and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Crush the garlic cloves and mix them with the soy sauce and a pinch of black pepper.
  6. Place the pork pieces on top of the onions and pour the garlic and soy mixture on top.
Step 2: Preparing the sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, honey, mustard, lemon juice, salt and black pepper until you obtain a homogeneous sauce.
  2. Pour the sauce over the meat and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake at 180°C (360°F) for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to allow the meat to brown nicely.
Step 3: Preparing the stewed vegetables
  1. In a frying pan with a little olive oil, fry the potatoes cut into wedges until they are golden and crispy.
  2. Cut the zucchini, peppers and celery stalks into small pieces and add them to the pan with the potatoes.
  3. Fry for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Dilute the tomato puree in water and add salt and black pepper.
  5. Pour this mixture over the vegetables and add a sprig of thyme.
  6. Cook covered for 10 minutes.
  7. Add the broccoli florets, chopped tomatoes and crushed garlic cloves.
  8. Cook covered for another 6-7 minutes.
