The Christmas season is perfect for baking. Try these delicate vanilla stars with a fine layer of powdered sugar!

Ingredients:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g butter, cold
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
    Instructions:
  • Combine flour, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolk, salt, and vanilla extract in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 5 mm thick. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown.

  • After baking, let the vanilla stars cool and then dust with powdered sugar.
