Exactly Now the Taste, Sugar Content and Density of the Fruits Are Being Laid. If You Support the Bushes in Time with Organic Fertilizers, They Will Reward with a Generous Harvest Without Cracking and Premature Wilting.
Three organic feedings that are worth applying during tomato ripening.
1. Wood ash infusion
Ash contains a lot of potassium, calcium and microelements that tomatoes especially need during this period.
For preparation:
• Pour 1 glass of sifted ash with 10 liters of warm water. • Infuse for 12–24 hours, after which mix.
Water with 0.7–1 liter under each bush only on moist soil.
2. Banana infusion
Banana peels gradually release potassium, which helps the fruits ripen faster and makes them sweeter.
Preparation:
• Chop 3–4 banana peels. • Pour 3 liters of water. • Infuse for 2–3 days.
Before use strain and dilute with water in the ratio 1:2. Water approximately 500 ml under the plant.
3. Green fertilizer from nettle and herbs
Such feeding provides the plants with natural nutrients and supports them until the end of fruiting.
Fill a bucket with chopped nettle or other young grass, pour water and leave to ferment for 7–10 days. Before watering dilute the infusion in the proportion 1:10.
Under each bush 0.5–1 liter of solution is enough.
Several important rules:
- Do not feed the tomatoes on dry soil — first moisten the bed.
- During ripening do not get carried away with nitrogen fertilizers so that the bushes do not start growing leaves instead of fruits.
- Organic feedings are enough to apply once every 10–14 days, alternating them with each other.
A little care right now will help the tomatoes ripen faster, gain rich taste and delight with a generous harvest until the very end of the season.
